This year, we celebrate the 50th Earth Day.
We had planned to do this with a series of Teach Ins in person, but with stay at home orders and self-quarantining in effect this is our next best approach. Join us!
Teach Ins prepared by graduate students in the Strategic Sustainability Leadership program will be  shared LIVE on Tuesday, April 28 from 6-8pm.

Well, just my pants.  Like all my pants.  Every. One. Of. Them. Funny not my shirts though, or my kids clothes. OK, so, let’s talk clothes.  So much controversy around clothes.   Sweatshops, sagging , whale tails , and even Lady Gaga’s meat dress . But, I’d like to talk about laundry. And sustainability.   Not the homemade detergents or wool dryer balls, but the actual act itself – washing your clothes. Or "warshing" as my southern friend would say. As our environment is threatened by throwaway fast fashion (Old Navy), we know that after a few washes, our new clothes can lose their fit (dumb dryer), softness and color. This is just the veganning

Bizarrocompic.blogspot.com My dad’s a farmer so I grew up on a farm. Not dairy, either. Meat. The cow kind. I am and was raised a meat and potatoes kind of girl. And bread. And, butter too. As a result, the thought of me as a vegetarian or vegan would be lost on some, especially my dad.  And, when we talk about veganism, many people hear the word “diet” as part of the overall conversation. I was guilty of this when I heard about Veganuary . Veganuary was foreign to me let alone hard to spell. I knew WHAT vegan was although I was raised in a barn. But what is  Veganuary  exactly?
